I am a researcher in psychology with expertise in cognitive and behavioural changes associated with ageing and neurodegenerative conditions. My current work focuses on the relationship between cognitive abilities and decisional capacity in people living with motor neurone disease (MND), with the aim of improving understanding of autonomy and decision-making in the context of assisted dying. My Masters and doctoral research examined cognitive assessments with the potential to detect early signs of Alzheimer’s disease. I also have over ten years of experience as a clinical neuropsychologist.
